About The Role
As an
F&B Development Officer within Qatar Airways Catering Services, you will play a key role in shaping our culinary and beverage offerings across the network. You will work closely with product managers, suppliers, procurement teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure all F&B products are competitively sourced, operationally fit, and aligned with our high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
In this role, you will support end‑to‑end F&B product development from tendering and supplier governance to product testing, performance tracking, and launch execution. Your work will directly influence the passenger dining experience, ensuring our products meet Qatar Airways’ premium expectations while reflecting market trends and brand objectives.
You will contribute to an efficient and customer‑centric F&B ecosystem by coordinating product sourcing, onboarding new suppliers, managing contracts, and driving continuous improvements across our operations.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Monitor and track F&B product supply contracts, ensuring timely tender execution and alignment with procurement requirements.
- Prepare tender documentation through market research, trend analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Coordinate tender releases with Procurement and provide clarification to suppliers to ensure accurate proposals.
- Conduct technical evaluations of product samples in accordance with procurement governance and standards.
- Support new supplier onboarding and monitor ongoing performance through sample assessments and compliance checks.
- Liaise with suppliers and product consultants to gather product specifications for digital and physical menu updates
- Participate in product development activities including tests, trials, and providing user feedback for decision-making.
- Coordinate product launches and ensure stakeholders are informed and operationally prepared ahead of rollouts.
- Monitor in‑use product performance using voyage reports and stakeholder feedback, proposing corrective actions.
- Work with internal teams and external caterers/warehouses to support operational consistency and service quality.
- Perform other department duties related to this position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- High School/Vocational Diploma/Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 years of job‑related experience, OR
- Qualification in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
- Experience in aviation, airline catering, or large‑scale F&B operations.
- Certifications in Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, WSET are an advantage.
- Knowledge of airline catering inventory management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to conduct market research and analyze F&B trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience using stock control systems such as Oracle.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and governance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced operational environment with multiple priorities.
